B2B website copywriting for digital marketing agency, Map01
Map01 had been around for a while building a solid group of high-profile clients via word of mouth. With the business well-established, owner Jo wanted a B2B website copywriter to nail the tone of her new website. Jo’s brief was a sleek and minimalist site with copy that reflected her frank and fun personality. The purpose of the website was to spark people’s interest in Map01 and inspire them to get in touch. We focused on three main pages with the ability to split the services into subpages down the track. This project was another great collaboration between Blue Budgie and Paul Kelly Creative.
Agency director, Jo wanted a site that was minimalist, frank and fun while avoiding the usual digital marketing jargon. We created a tone of voice that was a bit cheeky to give the brand a point of difference. The tone along with short, snappy sentences made the copy energetic and easy to digest.
The name Map01 references how the agency creates a roadmap for digital marketing success. We used this idea throughout the copy with phrases like:
“No BS. Nothing generic. Just a clear and custom map to build your brand and sell your stuff.”
“We treat your brand like our own as we plot your path to online success.”
“Let’s grab a tea…quila and map out something epic. “
And on the Error 404 page:
“Well, this is awkward…We specialise in maps but for some reason you’ve veered into unknown territory. Let’s get you headed back in the right direction, yeah?*loading sat nav*

This approach ensured that the copy was tailored to Map01 and matched Jo’s personality. Nothing generic. Just the way we like it.
